I’m at a point in my life where I needed to hear this. Thank you for sharing.

I am so glad this resonated with you. Honestly, I think many of us are at that same point, just learning to breathe and realise we don't have to 'perform' for Love. You are exactly where you need to be. Sending you much light!

Thanks for this beautiful piece.

I am myself going through that deconstruction journey, and I must say that I have noticed people are made to subconsciously or consciously shrink to fit cultural beliefs and stereotypes that have been framed into believing in God or religious practices.

The more I think about it every day, the more I see how dangerous and cruel this is. Shrinking truly denies us and our world of all that we are capable of but may never know.

This post brought to mind a quote from the movie Chariots of Fire: "When I run, I feel God's pleasure"

The scripture that is often quoted to make a case for us disappearing is the "He must increase and I must decrease". Like you said, God isn't interested in us disappearing. Our uniqueness, celebrations and successes please Him.

Spot on! That Eric Liddell quote is exactly it, our 'running' (whatever that looks like for us) isn't a distraction from God, it’s where we actually meet Him. Regarding 'He must increase, I must decrease,' we’ve often used it to justify self-erasure. But when we thrive, the Creator is glorified, not diminished. A master artist isn't insulted when people admire the painting!
